How do you make your literacy teaching life and your student’s learning easier? You want instruction that works well and can be delivered in-person or virtually, without absorbing all your energy and time. You want your students to learn to read and write to their highest potential in a manner that is engaging and enjoyable for both them and you.
In this presentation, you will learn about EBLI and drilling down to the specific components of phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, handwriting, spelling, and writing that are necessary to accomplish all of the above. Then we will discuss the importance of explicit instruction, how activities can integrate many of the components together, and following up by application of what was learned through reading and/or writing.
