Supporting Communication and Social Interaction for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the School Setting

This workshop will help teachers understand the social and communication difficulties that individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) experience in school. Participants will learn about assessment of communication and social skills, selection of meaningful goals, and a variety of strategies and formats for teaching these skills.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to create a plan for supporting age-appropriate and skill-appropriate communication and social skills for school-age students with ASD, as well as be able to devise a system for monitoring student progress.
