Orton-Gillingham Academic Math Overview – Hands-on and Interactive

This workshop provides a brief overview of the Orton-Gillingham approach to teaching mathematics. Learning disabilities that affect math progress will be discussed and participants will use manipulatives to solve basic addition questions. The emphasis is on step-by-step development of skills that has proven essential to both early success and lasting results. These teaching strategies are beneficial to all learners.
Target audience: Elementary classroom teachers, resource room teachers
